ADENIKE OLUFADE

MONICA NDILIAWIKE  NASHANDI 

As Group Executive Director, Special Projects, Monica Ndiliawike Nashandi, coordinates government relations, diplomatic and investor outreach. She is a former freedom fighter for the liberation of Namibia from Apartheid South Africa.

After independence, she was part of the team of former SWAPO representatives who established the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she served as Under Secretary for Political and Economic Affairs.

President Sam Nujoma appointed her as Ambassador Extra-Ordinary and Plenipotentiary to Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland and later became the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Republic or Ireland. She worked in the Private Office of former President Hifikepunye Pohamba as Deputy Executive Director. She also worked at the national power utility company, NamPower, as Divisional Manager for Strategic Planning.

She was appointed by President Hage Geingob as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, and Djibouti and Permanent Representative to the African Union. She was until recently the Namibian Ambassador to the United States of America with double accreditation to Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Honduras.

She holds a Master of Arts degree in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Westminster, London  and a Diploma in Youth and Development from the Commonwealth Youth Program in conjunction with the University of Zambia (UNZA).
