OLABODE OPESEITAN

Chairman, SA&B Group. He has over 29 years of experience in key areas of business development and integrated Marketing Communications in competitive African markets; particularly in Nigeria, Ghana, Benin Republic, and now Namibia. As the Director of Public Relations, Events & Promotions at Globacom, Nigeria’s National Telecom Operator, a multibillion dollar company where he worked for over 15 years, Opeseitan was part of strategic Board and Management decisions and executions that led to the phenomenal growth and acquisition of millions of subscribers. He coordinated several multi-million dollars projects for the company and was actively involved in the launch of Globacom across Nigeria, Benin Republic, and Ghana.

He also earlier worked at African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc for eight years, rising to the post of Editor, Tribune on Saturday.

He is a Fellow of World Press Institute, USA; Poynter Institute, USA; the Reuters Foundation, UK; National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

He holds a Master’s degree in Managerial Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Business Strategy, a  programme jointly organised by Emeritus Institute, Columbia Business School, New York and Massachussets Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, USA. He was awarded a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence: Business Strategies and Application by the UC Bekerley Executive Education, Haas School of Business, University of California, USA.

 

He is a keen advocate of digital business platforms, focusing on digital business strategies and platform revolutions.
